A Swedish title about men who hate women. An English title about a tattoo.
Stieg Larsson delivered three manuscripts and died in 2004. Norstedts published the first in August 2005 as Män som hatar kvinnor. The English edition arrived in January 2008 from MacLehose Press as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, translated by Reg Keeland (Steven T. Murray). The pair at the centre — journalist Mikael Blomkvist of the magazine Millennium, and researcher Lisbeth Salander — then left the page for two film languages: Swedish in 2009 (Noomi Rapace, Michael Nyqvist) and American in 2011 (Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, David Fincher). This desk keeps publication dates, titles and credits. It does not reprint the novel and it is not a studio site.
